SETTLING IN YOUR PUP & ITEMS REQUIRED
1. Stoneware water dish and metal food dish approx 4 diameter
2. Plastic bed as this can be washed as often as required with D etox wipes
3. Old sweat-shirts or something that does not have buttons or zips vet-bed is wonderful but expensive
4. Go to your local charity shops and buy some baby toys ideal for pups and cheaper than puppy toys. Old socks are wonderful place two or three into one and tie a knot in the end.
Place double bin bags onto carpet, then paper onto the bags this will protect your carpet
Put the pups bed somewhere out of the way of people, somewhere quiet and out of draughts
Ensure the garden is free from low shrubs with pointed bits best to get down to pups level to see what they can see. Make sure that there are not any very small holes in fences or hedges from where they can escape
Lots of play before they go to bed give them a cuddle then put them in their bed and lights out. DO NOT go down to them if they call for you be strong its difficult but try it will only last for a few nights just like a newborn baby.
All puppies need to be
Short journeys to start with down to the shops etc. Take them into the local park being very careful of larger dogs running up to them who are off of a lead. Get as many people as possible to stop and say hello to the pup.
Local dog training clubs are a good idea providing that they have a toys only session.
